This is a fun and educating expriment, teaching my children the life cycle of a butterfly.

A box of 2 caterpillars cost $2, comes with food for the caterpillars, basically some leaves they loves. Just need to throw in a leaf every morning after clearing their poo poo. After they turned into pupa, there's no need to feed anymore. Just sit back, relax and wait till it turned into a butterfly. This exercise gets the adults all excited too. I witnessed my husband checking out the pupa every morning when he wakes up and night when he came back from work. My mum called me in the middle of my work to tell me excitedly that it had turned into a beautiful butterfly. If you are keen, you can buy them from:

Mini Ferris Wheel

Carol took this photo for them while they took the mini Ferris Wheel outside Explorer Kids. See, Di Di look so funny....and Tory was still sulking. She's angry with Eric, for what I can't remember....These are the precious jewels of my parents....ops....one piece of jewel missing...Maximus Di Di....he's too young to be in the ferris wheel. Next time lah.

Explorer Kids

Brought the girls to Explorer Kids today. They enjoyed it very much. But my bones nearly cracked, as I climbed and ran the whole place with Amberlyn. Super tired. Guess Mr Aches will come knocking at my door tomorrow....but as long as they're happy....everything is worth it ....Yeah!

1st trip to T3

Amber needs light therapy...my poor baby

At 10th day old, Amber didn't passed her jaundice test, our PD ordered that either we admit her to the hospital to bring down her jaundice level, or rent the equipment and do the light therapy at home ourselves. The rental was for S$100 each day for at least 3 days. We chose the latter as we've seen many babies being left to do the light therapy in the baby room crying like mad. Its a bit troublesome as we need to bring her down to Mt E to draw blood and check her jaundice level every day. But we really can't bear to leave her alone in the hospital.

It was so terrifying for her, as well as me, as it was quite hot, with light shining from up and below. She also keeps sweeping away the eye mask and I need to be constantly beside her to put it back and also to soothe her. Her skin was all wrinkled and peeling. My heart really aches.


Fortunately, her third day's test was alright and we do not have to do this anymore. Phew! What an experience...
