GemsMummy's ME time

For the past 3 consecutive Fridays, GemsPapa had been babysitting the Gems. Maybe he had kind of gotten the hang of it that he volunteered to take care of them tonight so I could attend a dinner with my mum. Was told Amber did cried for me before sleep but for just a little while. Think with more such practice, she should be able to sleep without crying for me at all. Hope this day happen soon so I could have some of my own time and space too. I call it the ME time...

This is the first time the Gems participated in such events. I wasn't sure if both are going to really run but there's always a 1st time. This is also a eye-opener for both to see what a marathon/walkathon looks like, although this is the mini version of those.

Getting ready to drink the milk together with the rest of the kids, to break the world record of having the most kids drinking milk at the same time.

And the race begins...

I only managed to take pictures of Amber coz Pearl had already zoomed much ahead of us with GemPapa. Amber is not as atheletic as Pearl and she usually wants to be carried after a bit of walking, hence, this 1km event is actually a challenge for her and for me. I persisted in not carrying her and keeps motivating and encouraging her and finally she managed to walk the whole 1km.

Pearl is already waiting for us at the finishing line.

This is a fruitful event for our family, as this is not only the first time for the Gems, it's also the first time for the ever-lazy GemMummy who dislike any form of exercises and to be under the sun. We shall try such event again next time!

We went for buffet lunch to celebrate BL Ah Ma's birthday this time. Food not fantastic though but BL Ah Ma is still very happy coz she's got good companions like us...keke

1st visit to the Musuem on 6 June 2010

This is the first trip to the musuem for the Gems. Nowadays, the musuem is not as boring and dry as what we thought to be and there's also activities for the young. The Gems are thrilled as we'll visiting the museum with their favourite Tory jie jie.

My little gem (Amber) created her own version of oars with one kitchen paper roll and 2 plastic badminton rackets. What a brilliant idea!!

年糕cheese roll: Another good example of Princess & her Maid

GemMummy decided to make 年糕cheese roll today and Pearlyn (e Maid) happily volunteered to help.

Here's the ingredient:

Step 1: Take out skin and lay it out flat

Step 2: Put the 年糕 & cheese neatly

Step 3: Wrap the skin up neatly and secured it with some water

Step 4: Deep fry the roll (no picture as GemMummy is busy frying the rolls now)....

Final step: Eat (Note: Amber (the Princess) only comes in at the step....
