Hello Kitty Christmas Fairytale

After the Sesame Street Show, all of us went back to nap and then catch the Hello Kitty Christmas Fairytale at Bishan Junction 8 in the evening. Hello Kitty and My Melody are soooooo pretty.

Sesame Street Show

Brought the girls to the Sesame Street Show at Marina Square today. Nice show, both girls enjoyed it...




Pearlyn wore her Big Bird shirt, but to her dismay, Big Bird didn't appear in the show...sadzz



After the show, we went for some rides too..

The girls are sick again

Principal called to inform that Pearlyn is not feeling well. Vomited twice in the centre and temperature seems to be going up. Looks pale and lethargic. Called mum to fetch her back home first, at least can rest at home. My poor girl.

Mei mei also don't look ok when I fetch her from the centre. Also vomited back at home. Busy like a mad women, tending the two sick babies and also the cleaning up. Tired. Seem doctor, said its stomach flu. Not again! Everytime papa plan to take them out, they get sick and end up have to stay at home. Hope they recover soon so that we can all go out and have fun on Sunday. Guess initial plan of going for a dip is out of the question now. Shall bring them to one of the musical shows from the list below...

Mei Mei's 5th day in the childcare centre

Guess mei mei knows what going on now. She starts to cry when I bring out her uniform for her change. Cling on to me like a koala. Reach centre, as usual, crying at the top of her voice...

Ah ma fetched her home at 4pm today....

Contrary to what most people think, the look-alike meter actually showsed that mei mei look much more like me!! Sorry papa, both girls looked more like me than you....kekeke

Mei Mei's 4th day in childcare centre

Went to school happily in the morning...



But once we are near the gate, she starts wailing... Guess she needs more time to adapt...

Mum went to fetch her at 4pm today.

Mei Mei's 3rd day in the childcare centre

The Principal called to fetch mei mei at 4.17pm. She woke up at 3pm but managed to sleep a little more after she squeeze into her jiejie's mattress. She likes to snuggle up with jie jie all the time. But after that, she starts crying non-stop after the nap. Was adviced to bring her home at about 3+pm for the rest of the week to let her slowly get use to the centre. Probably too long for her to stay for the entire day. Luckily, mum is still around to help. Mei Mei, you must buck up ok, coz' Ah Ma and Ah Gong going their Vietnam trip soon, Mummy and Papa no leave liao. Sigh, if worse come to worse, gotta take unpaid leave.... 真的是伤脑精！！

Mei Mei's 2nd day in the childcare centre

It's her second day today. Happily changed into her school uniform together with jie jie. Refuse to let Ms Ng take her temperature, but Ms Ng had been very patient with her. Pearlyn then lead mei mei into her class. I hid outside the classroom to see if there's going to be any wailing. But no, only can hear Pearlyn chatting to her mei mei and Ms Ng. Mei Mei's gonna be alright...

Called mum at 12.30am to ask if the centre called to have mei mei fetched home. No.

Called again at 2.30pm. Yes, she's back home. The centre told mum that she managed to take to afternoon nap, but woke up at 1.30pm then starts to wail. Probably because when she woke up, everyone else is still sleeping and the place was all quiet and dark. Let's see how she fare tommorrow.....妹妹， 加油！！

Mei Mei's 1st day in the childcare centre

I've already packed all the stuff needed for school for both girls' last night. From today onwards, I'll have to bring 2 instead of 1, so best to get everything ready a night before. My mum can't accompany mei mei today coz she sprained her back yesterday. In the end, I've got to take urgent leave, leaving me with half a day leave now....

Pearlyn was more excited than anyone else that her mei mei is going to "school" with her. She was announcing that her mei mei has reached at the gate. Mei Mei was screaming as she thought she was to go home, as usual, after jie jie goes in to the centre. But I told her that she can go in from today onwards. She's so happy.

Mei mei is, as expected by papa, really different from jie jie. She ventured around the centre and never once look for me. She's so engrossed with all the art works in the centre and all the toys are new to her. It seemed sto much easier for her. During breakfast time, she didn't even stick to Pearlyn, but went around and sit with everyone else. Of coz', she enjoys her breakfast of hardboiled egg, anyway, she simply loves any food.

In less than half an hour, the Principal advised me to go home as she seems to be doing pretty well so we can let her gel into the environment sooner. I left and she didn't even notice. Well, should I be happy? or sad that she don't need me anymore? Guess I better count myself lucky that this is such a easy process for her and for us. I still remembered Pearlyn cried her lungs out last time...kekeke...that timid mouse (just like me!!)

Went back to school @ 12.30 to fetch mei mei. Ms Ng said mei mei didn't want to be hold when the children went outdoor. Was screaming and crying.

And when I went into her classroom, other children were lying on their mat getting ready to sleep, but my this little monster went to ka chiao the other kids. Aiyoh.....

Pearlyn had been a very good girl, helping teachers taking care of mei mei. Rewarded her with a pack of twistie

Mei Mei going to childcare centre come 1 Dec 08!!

Got a confirmation from Mrs Tan yesterday that mei mei can start on 1 Dec 08. Hurray! 太棒了！ 终于等到了！Wanted to place her in the centre once she turns 18 mths, but no vacany for her. Finally. At least she can be with jie jie in the same centre for 1 month to get herself familiarise with the place and caregivers.

Papa says she should be doing fine, given her character. She's very bold and not as timid and as sticky as jie jie. She gets aquainted with people easily, provided you got food, toys or bring her go "gai gaii". My MIL always remind us to keep an eye on her coz' she follows other people easily.

Got her uniform yesterday, s-size. She tried in on last eveing, so cute and everyone in the family is so excited and she was too. Was quite unable to take a proper photo for her coz' she was moving around excitedly.

Must get her schoolbag and waterbottle for her today. The fees to pay upfront:

什么都是钱！！

Mum will be extremely happy. At least she can go her Vietnam trip without having to coordinate with my leave or Edmund's. We are running out of leaves liao. Other than the trip, she would also have some time to rest and do her own things before she starts taking care of Maximus next Jan.

Furthermore, we do not have to resort to dumping her there the whole day, can start half day for a week first.

So happy!

Swollen eyes

Woke up this morning and my left eye feeling weird. Sigh, got eye infection. Super suay. Gotta wear my Ms La La spectacle to work, super duper gu gu man! And slightly slanted still, all thanks to Ms Amberlyn Low. She likes to bend my spectacle to give it a "new look". She broke my Gucci one into 2 early this yr, a gift from papa, cost $500+!!! 气起来, I chose a $40 frame now. Yes, that gu gu one I am wearing now....:(

Pearl back to school...But Teacher Linda also leaving...sian

Pearl had been having fever since last Saturday and she's finally well as of today, except for some running nose. Finally can send her to school and me, go back to work. GOSH! I have quite enough of her constant whinning. Sigh, nowadays, she doesn't like to go Boon Lay Ah Ma house anymore. My MIL told me that before I went to fetch her, she's 一条虫, after I reach, she's 一条龙。 Brrrrr...I am left with just half a day annual leave. Sigh, have exhausted all my leaves, mostly for my little ones. Can't imagine when both goes to childcare centre next year. But great thanks to the govt - 6 days of childcare leave next yr, phew.

Just found out from Pearl's teacher's blog that other than Teacher Lin Lin, Teacher Linda is also leaving. My goodness, why all the good teachers huh? Sianzzz, thought my children are fortunate to have such good teachers but 好景不长在. But sincerely wishing Teacher Lin Lin and Teacher Linda best of luck in everything they do. Esp. to Teacher Lin Lin, hope 你快点找到你的那一片天空, then you can run yr centre yourself with your great mangement skills. You are the best childcare teachers I've met so far, with great passion and creative and talent.

Getting ready to free our butterfly

It's free! Resting on the tree branches...


This is a fun and educating expriment, teaching my children the life cycle of a butterfly.

A box of 2 caterpillars cost $2, comes with food for the caterpillars, basically some leaves they loves. Just need to throw in a leaf every morning after clearing their poo poo. After they turned into pupa, there's no need to feed anymore. Just sit back, relax and wait till it turned into a butterfly. This exercise gets the adults all excited too. I witnessed my husband checking out the pupa every morning when he wakes up and night when he came back from work. My mum called me in the middle of my work to tell me excitedly that it had turned into a beautiful butterfly. If you are keen, you can buy them from:

She's angry with Eric, for what I can't remember....These are the precious jewels of my parents....ops....one piece of jewel missing...Maximus Di Di....he's too young to be in the ferris wheel. Next time lah.

Explorer Kids

Brought the girls to Explorer Kids today. They enjoyed it very much. But my bones nearly cracked, as I climbed and ran the whole place with Amberlyn. Super tired. Guess Mr Aches will come knocking at my door tomorrow....but as long as they're happy....everything is worth it ....Yeah!
